Sermon Notes: It is time to get ready!

Notes/Thoughts
The Babylonians overtook Jerusalem and began to indoctrinate them with Babylonian culture, language, and ways of life.
They did this until you couldn’t tell the difference between Israel and Babylon.
Isn’t this what the world tries to do to us now in 2025? This is why we have to get ready!
No matter what we encounter or the pressures that we receive from the world, we can’t conform to it! There is a standard and there is an example in Christ for how we should live.
There is no life apart from God! Every good and perfect thing comes and flows through Him. We can’t lean on Him and have a leg in the world.
What the world offers may look good for the time being but it ultimately leads to death, what the Lord offers bring everlasting life!
Daniel stood firm on the word of God! He was already prepared when opposition and challenges came. The word of God said that Daniel prayed 3 times a day. He was already in tune and connected to the voice of God!
When it came time for the King to have his dream interpreted, the magicians and king’s official said that there was no man that could do what he was asking
- The world may think they have the solutions and answers but when it comes time for power to be displayed, they have NO POWER
- Daniel was brought before the king to interpret and he gave glory to the God of heaven! He said there is a God who can do what you are asking! THANK YOU JESUS!
The world’s resources will run out but the power of God will stand for eternity! Only God can fill in the gaps!
If you stay ready, then you don’t have to get ready!
When the world comes in how do we stand firm like Daniel? We pray, fast, and we seek the face of the Lord! This is how hold up a standard for the Lord! Stay ready even before the opposition and pressure comes!
Daniel never ate food that was offered to other gods nor did he bow down to their false gods-HE STAYED TRUE to the TRUE and LIVING GOD
What is God saying to me?
I am not calling you to be bold just to walk it out alone. I AM GOING BEFORE AND BEHIND YOU!
I proved that I was with Daniel when he was the only one able to interpret the King’s dream. I will be with you!
No matter what the new norm is, stand firm on my word and teachings! Heaven is your reward!
How can I walk this out?
Be brave like Daniel.
Even if I am the only one doing what is right, the Lord see’s me! He finds favor in me!
Keep going and living for Jesus!
I have the spirit of Daniel on the inside. There is nothing this world has to offer me. There is also nothing this world can pressure me into doing. His name is magnified in my life!
